Congratulations, Girls’ Basketball – Catholic League Champions!

 

Any PreCalculus student who is interested in taking AP Calculus next school year should pick up an application from their math teacher and return it to Mrs Morton in Room 119 by Wednesday February 24. Give the application directly to Mrs Morton, DO NOT leave it on her desk or slide it under the door. The entrance test will be on Monday February 29.

Attention Freshman: If you are interested in taking the Medical Careers Course next year, then you must see Ms. Antes to get a form. She will be in Room 115 on Monday and Tuesday. All completed forms are due back to Ms. Antes by Friday, 2/26/16.

Anyone interested in applying for an AP Science Course must get the form from Ms. Antes in Room 115. The completed form is due to her no later than Friday, 2/26/16.

The National Honor Society, to go along with its normal after school tutoring sessions, will now be offering tutoring services every day during 6th period lunches in the cafeteria. Anyone interested can check in at the back of the cafeteria (where the colleges normally set up).
Congratulations to the following students who performed in the All Catholic Band Festival this weekend: Junior, John Lutz; Sophomores: Elizabeth Dern, Emma Foley, John Swift and Freshmen: Christopher Leonard, Michael Mayer and Kim-Leigh Tursi.

The following students were selected by audition at the All-Catholic Choir Festival: Seniors: Jessica Rimdzius, Ben McCloskey, Juniors: Madison Spray, Jacquelyn Sherman, Sophomore: Molly Mohan and Freshman: Steven Rimdzius. Congratulations to them all!

Congratulations to the wrestling team for their winning performance at the Philadelphia Catholic League Individual Championship Tournament on Saturday. This is the first time the team won this tournament since 2002. Overall the individuals of the team went 25 and 12 for the day and scoring 14 pins, 2 tech falls, 5 major decisions, and 4 regular decisions. Winning individual championships were Alex Shaffer, Austin Gillick, and Harry Green. Finishing 2nd was Stephen Veneziale , while Max Shaffer, Zach Shaffer, Brett Yoos, Matt Murry, and Connor Bishop finished third. Also placing were Matt Palage in fourth and George Frattara finished fifth.  10 wrestlers will advance to the PIAA District 12 Championships on Saturday, February 27 at Archbishop Carroll.
The next Drivers Education class will begin on April 4th. Forms are available in room 245.
