COLLEGE FAIR AT WOOD!      Today we have a College Fair along with our Career Day. Twenty-seven colleges and universities will be in the gym and all students will have an opportunity to attend. Many of our local Catholic Colleges as well as Penn State, Temple, West Chester and more will be here. Each student will receive the ‘Guide to Navigating a College Fair’ and we ask that you encourage your child to ask questions and gather information. It is never too early to begin thinking about the future.

Scholarship Opportunity
Are you planning on attending  Bucks County Community College in the fall of 2017? Dean’s Academic Scholarship Program for recent high school graduates is fast approaching.  The scholarship program requires interested students to complete an online application for the scholarship by May 1, 2017.  The Dean’s Academic Scholarship application is available online at  A scholarship committee will review the applications and award 14 full year (30 credits) scholarships.

To qualify for the scholarship, the candidate must:
*   Be a legal resident of Bucks County
*   Have applied for admission to Bucks County Community College by May 1st , 2017
*   Maintain full-time enrollment for the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semesters
*   Graduate from high school in January 2017 or June 2017
*   Currently have a 3.0 high school GPA
*   Submit a summary of school involvement/community service
*   Provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member, guidance counselor or other school administrator
*   Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

Also, in addition to the above Dean’s Scholarship opportunity, an additional 13 scholarships are available for students interested in and qualified for Bucks County Community College’s Honors Program.   Thank you again for your continued interest, support and participation in the 2017 Dean’s Academic Scholarship Program.


NHS tutoring is offered every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon from 2:20 until 3:00 in room 211 (directly across the hall from the Learning Commons).  Students wishing to attend need to go to the Academic Office (Room 230), find the NHS Tutoring binder, and sign up by 11:00 a.m. on those days.

Math Tutoring:  Throughout the school year, Mr. Beard will once again be offering his math tutoring services every Tuesday and Wednesday during lunch in the Learning Commons.  You must sign up in the cafeteria PRIOR to going to tutoring.

Mr. Firmani is offering a study group after school every Tuesday from 2:15-2:45 in his classroom. If you feel that you are struggling with American Government then you should consider attending. You do not have to attend every week! Email Mr. Firmani if you have any questions.
