Scholarships
Eighth Grade Academic Scholarships
One full tuition renewable award, four half renewable awards, and four $1,000 non-renewable ninth grade awards are given to incoming students registered to attend Archbishop Wood High School based on the results of the school’s December scholarship testing. These awards are funded through the generous gifts of alumni and friends of the school.
Alumni Class Scholarship Program
Six scholarship awards each of $1,000 are funded from the proceeds of the annual Alumni Golf Classic. Awards are open to current students with a filing deadline of November 9.
Other Endowed Awards*
- The Hirschmann Grant is awarded to currently enrolled students who excel in their involvement in activities and is supported through the generous assistance of James W. Hirschmann III, Class of 1978.
- The Schneider Grant is for second generation students.
- The Parente Grant is awarded to a currently enrolled second generation Archbishop Wood student in memory of Jean Parente.
- The Beerley Grant is awarded to an incoming ninth grader from Saint David Parish in memory Jennifer Beerley, Class of 1992.
- The Monaghan Grant is awarded to an incoming ninth grader from Nativity of Our Lord Parish or Saint Vincent de Paul Parish in memory of Michael S. Monaghan.
- The Shakely Grant is awarded to a current eleventh grader in memory of John A. Shakely.
- The Richards Grant is awarded to an incoming ninth grader involved in dance or music and funded by the Kelly Richards Dance Studio.
- The Alumni for the Arts Grant is awarded to one incoming student who excels in visual arts.
- The Finley Grant is for an incoming freshman from St. David Parish in memory of Claire Finley, Class of 1978.
- The Lange Grant is for an incoming freshman from St. David Parish in memory of Delores A. Lange.
- The Ginieczki Grant is for a student showing perseverance in memory of Richard F. Ginieczki, Class of 1982.
- The Crawford Grant is for an incoming freshman from St. Robert Parish in memory of Mary Brooks Crowford.
- The Greene Grant is for an incoming freshman from Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in memory of Carol Ann Greene, Class of 1988.
- The Doyle Family Scholarship for incoming freshman involved in an Activity.
