Bishop Fitzgerald visits Archbishop Wood

On Thursday, February 4, 2016 Bishop Fitzgerald celebrated our Catholic Schools’ Week Liturgy.  During the Liturgy the Bishop congratulated Mr. Joseph Velten on his 50 years as a Catholic School Educator.  At the conclusion of the Liturgy Bishop Fitzgerald greeted all the students.  In appreciation for the warm Wood welcome to the Bishop, Bishop Fitzgerald gave the students a day off.  The date of the day off will be determined shortly.

Attention all actors, singers, dancers and lovers of theater! An informational meeting about the theater department’s fall production of Mary Poppins will be held on Monday, September 14th at 2:30pm in the auditorium. We will answer all your questions and teach you music for auditions. Interested in stage crew? Come to our crew interest meeting in the auditorium on Tuesday, September 15th at 2:30pm to learn all the ways you can be involved behind the scenes. Attention Sophomores! If you had Ms Antes for Exploration21 last year and would like to pick up your goggles for Biology class, stop by Room 328 to pick them up. You can stop before school, in between periods, or after school.
Anyone interested in working on the Viking Voice, Wood’s online news site, is asked to attend a meeting on Thursday, Sept. 17 in Room 324.

Any high school students interested in Military Academies, Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick invites you to attend a Service Academy Information Session on Saturday, September 26th 9AM – Noon at Bucks County Community College. Stop by the Guidance Office for more information.
Please know any interested Seniors should have already started the application process.

The Learning Commons will be open this week until eighth period. Teachers and students are reminded that the Learning Commons is closed during homeroom and opens at first period. Students MUST report to study hall or academic prep and sign out with their moderator. Students must remain in lunch for ten minutes to eat their lunch and sign out with the lunch proctor. Only 10 students are permitted from each study hall, lunch, and academic prep.
No students are not permitted to come to the Learning Commons during class time to print a paper or purchase a snack from the Coffee Bar. No food or drink is permitted in the computer areas of the Learning Commons. The Learning Commons will be opened after school beginning September 21st.
Archbishop Wood High School Ice Hockey Team Tryouts, Monday 9/14/15, at Bucks County Ice Rink, Be ready to be on the ice at 5pm. Any questions, see Ms Antes is Room 328 today.
All girls interested in trying out for the 2016 Softball Team: There will be an informational meeting regarding fall and winter activities tomorrow morning (Tuesday, September 15) in the auditorium beginning immediately after announcements. Please see Coach Rosini in Room 103 with any questions.
