Welcome to Archbishop Wood High School!
We have a vibrant Catholic community where students are challenged to grow, inspired to lead, and supported every step of the way.
At Archbishop Wood, we believe that education is about more than academics—it is about forming the whole person. Rooted in our Catholic faith and guided by our motto, “Faithfulness Merits the Crown,” we are committed to helping students discover their God-given talents, deepen their faith, and discern their purpose in life.
Our students are known, valued, and encouraged to become leaders in every aspect of their experience—whether in the classroom, on the field, through the arts, or in service to others. We believe that leaders are made, not born, and we intentionally create opportunities for every student to grow in confidence, resilience, and character.
Academically, Archbishop Wood offers a rigorous and engaging college-preparatory program designed to meet students where they are and help them reach their full potential. From a strong freshman foundation that introduces a wide range of disciplines, to Advanced Placement courses, dual enrollment opportunities, and innovative programs in leadership, entrepreneurship, and emerging fields, our curriculum challenges students while inspiring curiosity and a love of learning. With a 1:1 technology program, modern science labs, and dynamic classroom experiences, there is truly something for every learner.
Beyond the classroom, students are encouraged to explore their interests and develop their talents through a wide variety of extracurricular activities, including athletics, performing arts, robotics, and service opportunities. Our shared campus community, including our relationship with Our Lady of Confidence, further enriches the student experience and fosters compassion, inclusion, and connection.
We are equally committed to supporting the social and emotional well-being of our students. Through dedicated counseling services, college and career guidance, and spaces designed for reflection and self-regulation, we ensure that each student is supported not only academically, but personally and spiritually as well.
As leaders of Archbishop Wood, we are deeply committed to our mission and to the families we serve. With a strong foundation and a bold vision for the future, we continue to expand opportunities for our students—preparing them for a world that is constantly evolving while remaining grounded in faith and values that endure.
We invite you to explore all that Archbishop Wood has to offer and to experience the strength, spirit, and tradition that define our community. We are proud of who we are, excited about where we are going, and honored to welcome you into the Viking family.
