Archbishop Wood High School is proud to celebrate the legacy of excellence in our community through two distinguished honors:
The Archbishop Wood Hall of Fame
Recognizes Viking athletes, coaches, and teams who have achieved outstanding success in athletics while embodying the values of faith, knowledge, and service.
Honors individuals who displayed leadership, character, and the spirit of competition that defines Viking pride.
The Archbishop Wood Hall of Excellence
Celebrates alumni and community members who have achieved distinction in their professional careers, demonstrated exceptional personal character, or made a meaningful impact through service to others.
Highlights excellence, showing how Wood graduates live out our mission of faith, knowledge, and service in the world.
Eligibility & Nomination
Athletic Hall of Fame nominees must have , a record of excellence in Viking sports and/or significant contributions to the athletic program.
Hall of Excellence nominees should demonstrate notable achievement in their field, personal accomplishments, or community leadership that reflects positively on Archbishop Wood.
Nominations may be submitted by alumni, faculty, coaches, or community members.
The Induction Event
Each year, Archbishop Wood will host a Hall of Fame and Hall of Excellence Induction Ceremony, a signature celebration of Viking pride.
Inductees and their guests will be honored with a special evening that includes recognition, fellowship, and their names among the digital displays on the website and around campus.
The event brings together generations of Vikings, celebrating the past while inspiring current and future students.
The Honor of Induction
Being inducted into either the Hall of Fame or Hall of Excellence is more than a one-time recognition:
A Distinguished Club: Inductees become part of an elite community of Archbishop Wood alumni and supporters whose accomplishments will forever be remembered.
Permanent Recognition: Honorees will be recognized on campus for all students, alumni, and visitors to see—serving as role models for generations of Vikings.
Special Benefits:
Recognition in school publications, social media, and the Viking Annual Report.
Lifetime invitations to future Hall of Fame & Hall of Excellence events.
Opportunities to connect with students as guest speakers, mentors, or ambassadors of Viking pride.
Commemorative keepsake marking their induction.

These recognitions celebrate achievement while inspiring today’s students to pursue their own paths of excellence—in the classroom, on the field, and in the world.
How to Nominate
To nominate someone for the Hall of Fame or Hall of Excellence, please complete the nomination form below, detailing their achievements, service, and the impact they have had on their community. We encourage you to submit any additional supporting documents, such as letters of recommendation or testimonials, that highlight the nominee's contributions.
