Student Life

A large group of young women in black and yellow uniforms are gathered together, their faces filled with excitement and enthusiasm as they perform or participate in what appears to be a choral or theatrical event.

A Year Full of Tradition, Community, and Opportunity

At Archbishop Wood High School, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Throughout the year, students participate in meaningful traditions, celebrations, and activities that build friendships, strengthen community, and create lifelong memories.

Clubs, Leadership & Viking Night

With dozens of clubs and organizations available, every student can find a place to belong. Whether students are interested in service, leadership, STEM, the arts, or faith formation, there are countless opportunities to get involved and grow.

Clubs and organizations include opportunities such as:

  • Student Council
  • National Honor Society
  • FIAT (Faith In Action Team)
  • Robotics and STEM Clubs
  • Theater and Stage Crew
  • Cultural and Service Clubs
  • Academic and Leadership Organizations
  • Music and Performing Arts Groups

One of the highlights of the year is Viking Night, a beloved spring tradition where students, families, and alumni come together to celebrate school spirit, community pride, and the Viking tradition. It is a night filled with fun, entertainment, and connection — a true celebration of what it means to be part of the Wood family.
