Mike Conricode was a proud 1986 graduate of Archbishop Wood. He played soccer for Wood and later served many years as JV soccer coach. Mike fought a courageous battle with cancer that ended in July, 2014. One of his teammates, said it best:

“During many of our visits when he was sick, there was a group of us that had all played soccer at Wood, and a group of current players came to see Mike, their coach. Mike was telling them how we all played together and have stayed in each other lives, and the kids were pretty amazed. I attributed this bond to playing soccer and our experiences at Wood. Mike was very active with the soccer programs at Wood and Nativity, having coached for many years and I can think of no better way to honor him and his involvement at Archbishop Wood.”

This $1,000 scholarship is a one time award to be used toward the 2022-2023 school year.

Qualifications:

Any rising Senior who is a member of the Archbishop Wood Boys or Girls Soccer teams. The student must be in good academic standing, and a good citizen of the Wood community. All applicants MUST apply to FACTS from October 1, 2021 - November 19, 2021.

Requirements:

Write a one-page essay about your experience at Archbishop Wood and as a member of the soccer team. Discuss the relationships you have developed and how they are preparing you for your Senior Year. What contribution have you made to the Wood Community?
