Girls Soccer Tries To Win States, Falls Short In ‘Very Winnable Game’

Viking Girl Soccer players were excited to be where they were last month, the state tournament. They went 18-3 this year, easily going 14 games unbeaten. There may have been several 1-0 results this year, but they also displayed a lot of dominance led by All State nominee Regan Kelso.
The girls in goal were incredible this year too, allowing no goals in 10 of the 21 matches, and 7 of the last 10 matches heading into States. They were wonderfully coached and have demonstrated outstanding play to this point, but sadly, they got denied in the final game of the year. They looked to change that, for at least this year.
