Blood drive

The HOSA Red Cross Blood drive is today in the student center. You will receive a time slip in your homeroom today. Show up on time for the blood drive at your scheduled time at the student center.

Speech and Debate team

REMINDER: The Banquet is finally here! Please be at Tennent TONIGHT by 6:30 and wear nice clothes (especially seniors who will be presenting awards). If you told me a parent is coming with you, please make sure they bring $30 CASH - EXACT CHANGE. See you tonight!

The Historical Cardboard Club

Hey friends and gamers alike! The Historical Cardboard club is a pretty epic club where you reenact wars in cardboard! We meet every Thursday after school and work on building our cardboard arsenal and buildings. The Thursday at the end of the month, we reenact the battle! Please come to our interest meeting during the B bell on Friday April 12th in the cafeteria, you epic cool kids."


Mr. Velten will be here today, periods 3 through to 7, to give you the help you need!  Stop by the Learning Commons today at your lunch period to get some writing or ELA assistance. Bring that paper or essay in, and we’ll help you to improve your sentences, make your thesis more clear, and brush up those spelling and punctuation problems!  Again, for help with ELA or writing for any of your subjects, stop by the Learning Commons today and see Mr. Velten.


CSC will be going to Face to Face soup kitchen for meal service on Saturday April 20 from 11 to 3 sign up outside the ministry office

Opera trip

We’re going to the Opera! We will be going to the Academy of Music to see the beautiful opera “La Bohème” on Wednesday, April 24.  We will be leaving school at 11:15 am for lunch at Giuseppe’s on Street Road, then to the Academy. We will return to Wood around 6:00 pm.  Details about the trip and permission forms are available in room 243. The cost is $35 (due by April 12) which covers the bus and lunch. The opera tickets are free. Seats are limited to the first 42 students who bring in their signed forms and money. Don’t pass up this opportunity! You never know, you might love it!

Movie Club

This is the real life? Or is this just fantasy? The movie club is hosting its next movie screening this Friday, April 12th in the learning commons. This month's movie is "Bohemian Rhapsody" the story of Queen and Freddie Mercury. A permission slip is required to attend the screening due to some adult themes. You can pick up permission slips in room 302. Bring 5 dollars and your permission slip and we will order pizza. Hope to see you there!

A mathematician wanders back home at 3 AM and proceeds to get an earful from his wife. “You’re late!” she yells “You said you’d be home by 11:45!”  The mathematician replies cooly, “Actually, I said I’d be home by a quarter of 12”
