Application Process

Thank you for your interest in Archbishop Wood High School,
We are excited to hear from you and ask you to please complete an application to learn more! 
 
(Class of 2028 - current 7th graders, applications will open July 1, 2023)  
 
Admissions is an easy three step process, Apply-Accept-Register.  Please know that we are here to help make the admission process as smooth as possible.  In order to register, you must first apply and be accepted. 
 
APPLY - For your convenience, the application is available here.  Within the application we will ask for you to submit/upload a copy of your student’s most recent report card and standardize test result, or complete a Request for Records and submit it to your student’s school.    
 
ACCEPT - After the Admissions team reviews your student's records and if accepted, students will receive an acceptance email/letter. 
 
REGISTER - After you receive your acceptance email/letter, submit your registration payment through the link provided in the email.

Transfer Students and Public School Students 
Transfer students and students coming from public middle schools will need to have a meeting with Dr. Katherine Nobles, Assistant Principal for Academics.  This meeting is completed in Summer, 2023.  A review of our handbook and course selections will be discussed at this meeting.  All students will be asked to bring their current transcripts with them.    
 

Archbishop Wood Legacy Grant
Any Student whose mother or father graduated from Archbishop Wood will be offered a grant of $1,000 (for their first year) to thank them for continuing our Viking tradition.  Please contact the admissions office for eligibility information.   

Registration Fee for the Class of 2027  (non-refundable)
$300 valid from March 1, 2023 - August 31, 2023

Thursday, April 27         11:00am - 12:00 pm
Please join us for this informative program and learn about the admission process, financial aid application, scholarship opportunities, academic programs and much more!  Meet with the administration and students, tour live classes and experience our campus up close.  Parents and Students are welcome.  Please RSVP to [email protected]   

Financial Aid/ Scholarship Information Night  (Class of 2027 and 2028) 

Thursday,  April 13   6:30 pm - 7:30 pm 
The information night is to help families understand the process of need based financial aid and the many scholarship opportunities we offer.  We will review the application process, how awards are determined and answer questions regarding all facets of the aid process.  Please RSVP by April 11th to [email protected] 

 
Open House 

Sunday, April 16  10:30 am - 12:30 pm 
Visit and experience Archbishop Wood, meet our teachers, administration, students and more.  The program will include classroom presentations, demonstrations, and student guided tours.  Our coaches and club moderators will be on hand to discuss the details of their prospective sport or club.

Personal Tours
All prospective students and families are invited to visit our campus for a personal tour. Please contact the Admissions Office at [email protected] if you would like to schedule a visit. We can also offer zoom presentations for interested families who might not be able to attend a tour during the day. 

Viking Shadow Program  - (Program is full for the rest of this school year)

8th Grade Academic Scholarship Exam
(Archbishop Wood does not require an entrance exam)     

The exam is offered in October for current 8th graders. Academic scholarships are awarded based on performance in the Archbishop Wood 8th Grade Academic Scholarship Exam. The Meet and Greet is a wonderful opportunity for parents to ask questions, meet representatives from the Academics office, Board Members and Admissions staff.
